Welford Road staged the second quarter-final of this year?s Prima Tiger Cup last Saturday before the Guinness Premiership match between Tigers and Leeds Carnegie.
Nottingham RFC played against Stamford RFC, while Stoke RFC took on first-time visitors Southwold RFC. As you would expect at this stage of our regional tournament, all four teams showed skill and determination beyond their tender years to put on a display in which they can all take pride.

Each team earned the right to play at Welford Road with Festival wins earlier in the season and on Saturday the worthy winners were Nottingham and Stoke who now go through to the next stage, the semi-finals. There, they will join the under-10 teams from Oakham and Silhillians who qualified in the first quarter-finals.

The semi-finals will take place before Leicester Tigers take on London Wasps at Welford Road at March 29.

Congratulations go to all four teams for their efforts last Saturday and in their Festival wins earlier in the season, and best wishes to the Nottingham and Stoke teams who won through.

The semi-final draw has taken place and will see Nottingham play Silhillians, and Stoke line up against Oakham.

Many thanks to all the teams and supporters involved in this year?s Prima Tiger Cup and a special thanks to Prima Solutions of Loughborough for their continued support and for helping to make young dreams come true at Welford Road.
