The Tigers coaching team have enjoyed a superb week running the Guernsey Ashburton Tigers Rugby Course at Guernsey RFC.
Sixty young islanders enjoyed a sun-soaked week of rugby with the Tigers coaches and, as an added bonus, they received a masterclass in the arts of scrum and line-out from former Tigers prop Derek Jelley.

This is the second time Leicester Tigers have visited Guernsey and clear improvements on and off the pitch are really starting to pay dividends in the standard of rugby demonstrated by the young players.

"We hope that we can continue to build our rugby relationship with both Guernsey and Jersey, and with the great support of Ashburton, the Jersey-based fund management group, we are now looking forward to our visit to Jersey for another week’s coaching from August 18,” said Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager.

“The Guernsey Academy and the people behind the scenes at the rugby club here have gone out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and we look forward to arranging our next visit in the near future."
