Former Italian fly-half Ramiro Pez has parted ways with Leicester Tigers after spending the 2003/04 season at Welford Road.

Pez played 13 matches for Tigers last season, racking up 100 points in the process, but found his path to the No.10 shirt blocked by Springbok star Jaco van der Westhuyzen - the members' player of the season.

"Unfortunately things did not work out well for Ramiro during his time at Leicester Tigers, but that happens at times in professional sport," said Leicester Tigers CEO Peter Wheeler. "We do, however, wish him well for the future."

Argentina born Pez - who has played 16 tests for Italy - joined Tigers from Rotherham.
