Andy made 23 appearances for Tigers last season, bringing his total number for the club to 172 since his debut against Cardiff in October 1998. At the start of the 2007/08 campaign, Andy was just five games shy of his 150th first-team start for Tigers despite moving to Saracens for an 18-month spell between mid 2002 and late 2003. On his return to Leicester, Andy finished as the Premiership’s leading points scorer – totaling 266, with 151 points for Tigers and 115 for Sarries. He became only the fifth player to the break the 1,000-point barrier in the English Premiership and is set to reach 1500 points for Tigers during the early stages of the 2007/08 season.

Andy joined Tigers as a teenager nine years ago, having also excelled at cricket during his time at King Henry VIII School in Coventry. He has represented England at U-18, U-21, second team and senior level, winning nine caps to date. A three-time Heineken Cup finalist with Tigers, he has also played in five Championship-winning sides, while his 11 conversions in the 83-10 win over Newcastle in 2005 is a league record for Tigers.
