Jordan is now in his second season with Tigers, having joined the club from Leeds Tykes after the Yorkshire side were relegated from the Guinness Premiership in 2005/06. The back-row made 18 first-team appearances during his debut season, including 15 starts, 12 of which came in the triumphant Guinness Premiership campaign. His dynamic performances saw him voted Tigers’ Young Player of the Year in 2006/07 by his colleagues and supporters, capping an impressive first year in Leicester colours.
Jordan made his debut for Leeds in the European Challenge Cup in 2004/05 as an 18-year-old and has also received recognition at international level. He played in Grand Slam-winning sides for England U-19 in 2005 and U-21 in 2006 and has also captained both age-groups (as well as the U-18s), the later during part of the IRB U-21 World Cup following injury to Tigers teammate Matt Cornwell. Last season he was part of the victorious England Saxons squad during the shadow Six Nations and at the 2007 Churchill Cup, where he played alongside Tom Croft, Ayoola Erinle and Richard Blaze.
An England Saxons squad including four Leicester Tigers players retained the Barclays Churchill Cup with a 36-19 victory over Scotland A in Chicago on Saturday.
George Chuter, Jordan Crane and Ollie Smith will start for England Saxons in this Saturday's Barclays Churchill Cup Final against Scotland A in Chicago.
The weekend's international matches saw a total of 12 Tigers in action across senior Tests, the Barclays Churchill Cup and the IRB Junior World Championships.
